Last August 2010, A cosplay contest was held Nationwide. It was the Cyberzone Cosplay Tour Competition. First, there was a preliminary round held in various cities around Philippines. I really didn’t want to join at first but then when a friend persuaded me, I then thought~ why not? It’s for experience anyways. Plus, I heard that the prize was kind of big and the very first thing that I needed at that moment was money~. I needed it for something personal. I asked help from my yhub with the skit and performance. He’s really good at this since he’s a choreographer and a performance director in his school. I give my thanks to him for bearing with my childish antics during the practice. Thank you and sorry yhub!hehehe

I had difficulty when I went to the mall coz I cosplayed as Tender Shall in Dream of Dolls and I had white make-up all over. I somehow looked like Ju-on in the Grudge.

Davao's Buono, The NyanNyan Group
It was competition time and I did my best to act very “dollish”. After ramping, I was pretty sure that my other friend was going to win~ My friend was quite awesome while on stage but to my surprise the emcee called out my name for the first prize winner. I was so deaf at that time and I later on realized that my name was being called. Stupid moments much? It was my first time joining a solo competition seriously and I’m really happy that somehow I got the opportunity to this one of a kind experience.

I then represented my city for the Nationwide competition in the next 2 weeks. There were a lot of competitors and most of them wore mech costumes. Talk about imba~ ahahaha.It’s was also broadcasted live here at http://www.flippish.com/.

I was so glad that I finally got to meet my Cebu online friends Maki chan and her sister Yuki chan who by the way is the representative for Cebu. These two sister are quite amazing when it comes to weapon,armor and costume making. The do it theirselves~ Truly inspiring. It got me motivated to do one of my own too. I got to meet other cosplayers from Bacolod Edward and Steven and “kuya” from Cagayan de Oro city too! I was amazed at how detailed their costumes were. Bravo!!!

It was the cosplayer from Cagayan who got the top prize in the event. It's amazing that he can dance knowing that it's hard to manage in that costume~ kudos to you~
